Type Media Center is pleased to announce Cristina Guadalupe Gamundi Garcia and Sebastián Ramírez as the two recipients of the 2022 Robert Masur Fellowship in Civil Liberties. The fellowship, which carries a $2,000 prize, is for law students who intend to carry out significant activities over the summer between their first and second years related to civil rights and/or civil liberties.

Type Media Center welcomes Matthieu Aikins as a Puffin Foundation Fellow! Aikins is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and a contributing editor at Rolling Stone. He has reported from Afghanistan and the Middle East since 2008.

Bold Type Books author Ibram X. Kendi and our 2020 recepient of the Puffin Prize, Desmond Meade were both awarded the 2021 MacArthur Fellowship.

We warmly remember Perry Rosenstein, Founder and President of the Puffin Foundation, Ltd. Rosenstein was a life-long supporter of a diverse group of writers, artists, journalists, and intellectuals outside of the mainstream. Perry passed away on April 3rd, 2020 in Teaneck, New Jersey.
