The Puffin Prize for Creative Citizenship
The Puffin Foundation Ltd. and Type Media Center are mutual sponsors of an annual $100,000 award given to an individual who has challenged the status quo through courageous, distinctive, and socially responsible work. The prize is intended to encourage the recipients to continue their work, and inspire others to challenge prevailing orthodoxies.
Ridenhour Prize
The annual Ridenhour Prizes recognize acts of truth-telling that protect the public interest, promote social justice, or illuminate a more just vision of society. These prizes memorialize the spirit of fearless truth-telling that whistleblower and investigative journalist Ron Ridenhour reflected throughout his extraordinary life and career.
Jonathan Schell Memorial Lecture Series on the Fate of the Earth
The Jonathan Schell Memorial Lecture Series on the Fate of the Earth is an annual lecture of original work delivered by a speaker selected each year by committee addressing topics written on by Schell during his life including environmentalism, nuclear disarmament, and peace but may include any important issue on which the future of humanity and other life on the Earth might depend.
